Not Sure What To Do To Your Child This School Holiday Period?

How about letting you child experience being an engineers for 9 hours of STEM, Robotics, Coding and Artificial Intelligence?

If your child has been pestering you to sign him for a Robotics weekly classes but due to busy schedule, you couldn’t afford to slot him. Now is the best time to do so.

We have more prepared to make your child holiday memorable and exciting

Junior Robotics

Workshop Objectives

This programme is the launchpad for children to express their interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), and an introduction to computational thinking via basic robotics coding projects.

Exploratory Robotics 1Exploratory Robotics 1

Workshop Objectives

Children develop knowledge and application of STEM principles to improve on robotics coding, and gain further computational thinking skills. Artificial intelligences, such as machine learning, is one of the highlight of this programme.

Mastery Robotics

Workshop Objectives

Children will be equipped to solve more sophisticated real-world problems with analytical and creative thinking skills.

Student’s learning outcome

Junior Robotic Learning Outcome

Learning Outcome

Students learn the basic coding through the use of physical programming blocks. Besides computational thinking skills, students will also develop logical reasoning and other crucial soft skills such as teamwork and leadership.

Students will learn coding through interactive stories with the use of graphical programming blocks, which also hones their problem solving and sequencing skills.

Students will learn coding through games with the use of graphical programming blocks, which also hones their problem solving and sequencing skills.

Exploratory Robotics Learning Outcome

Learning Outcome

Students will learn to use block-based visual programming language to code the models that they have built in this interdisciplinary module that integrates computer science and engineering.

Students will be introduced to a block-based visual programming language and a wide range of functions and features of programming blocks. Students will also learn to create and modify games via an interactive platform.

Students learn to train machine learning systems and build games with them. This goes hand in hand with the other module offered in this programme.

Mastery Robotic Learning Outcome

Learning Outcome

Students will be exposed to theoretical and practical aspects of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) while learning to programme the models they have built according to the required functions.

Students will explore advanced functions on scratch platform and apply them in the games they design.

Students will be challenged to think critically about the use of machine learning and its application in everyday life. Students will also learn to analyse and determine the methods to increase data collection and to improve the output of machine learning.

Hear from our parents

5/5

Hamish has been a student for nearly 2 years and has thoroughly enjoyed every class. He comes home super excited to tell us what he has learnt and built at class. The Teachers are lovely, kind and supportive of all the kids in the class. If your child is into robotics and coding- highly recommend this class!

Frequently asked questions

What are the difference between holiday workshop and weekly classes?

Holiday workshop for MetaRobot and Young Engineers is a 3 days 3-hours session. In this 3 hours, the students will be doing 2 projects per day. So effectively, they will be doing 6 projects during each holiday workshop. This is equivalent to taking up 6 weekly lessons.

Can they bring home the LEGO models they made during the workshop?

Unfortunately not. Our educational tools are not for sales. Students will get to use a full LEGO organizer and its coding hubs worth $400-$800 throughout the workshop duration.

Why are they doing so many different type of robotics and coding activities in 3 days workshop? Can they cope with it?

We believe in exposing the students to different type of Robotics and coding related activities. Some children demonstrate better motor skills and spatial reasoning while others are stronger in computational thinking. All the activities are planned deliberately to enable a holistic Robotics and coding experience. While some children may enjoy certain activities more than the rest, others may prefer the opposite but their learning experience will be unforgettable. Many of our past holiday students always come back for more such activities.
